"Aline" Roman necklace based on a portrait of Fayum
Gold-brass chain inspired by Aline's mummy portrait from Fayum, Egypt.
"Aline, the daughter of Herod died at the age of 35 on July 31, 107 AD."
From this stele inscription in a tomb in Hawara-Fayum, we know who this impressive canvas portrait shows.
The necklace is handmade from individual hematite balls and discs. Hematite is a blood stone (semi-precious stone) of the means electroplated with a layer of brass gold.
The hoop form 54 balls and 18 hanging sticks, each made of 3 balls and 4 discs.
Including the clasp, the chain consists of 221 parts.
A nice piece for "reenactment" and the "special appearance."
